just thought i would say hi, I just found out i have ovarian cancer this year. I found this site helpful because i am not aware of what is going to happen after chemo and what my symptoms were in the first place. Now I see that they were there just I was not aware. I am glad to see you are doing better.

I have met so many wonderful people who are lifetime connections that without cancer I never would have made..would have rather not had the cancer, but, they are wonderful people and true friends. Some walk out of your life, but, the ones who are true friends are with you for the rest of your life. Hang in there. It is quite the journey. Hope you are having a good day today.

I have always had a problem in the friend area, outside of Peecan (a friend who visits here to see what is going on), I have no real friends, just people who call me when they want something. My ex said he couldn’t figure out why this is so because I am a wonderful friend and will give the shirt off my back. I have been branching out and going to meetings to meet people and as usual unless I call, I don’t hear from anyone. But I am still trying.

You have to be your own best friend. Friends, family, relationships and aquaintances come and go. If you have one true friend, you are lucky. It’s a shame, but people are funny Like that. That’s why I want to get a puppy..loyal lol.

I have to add, that some people you would never expect to find, help or support you, do so, when it’s needed. I have many examples here, elsewhere on the internet, through acquantinances, family and friends. It’s unfornunate, that our needs may be more than we can return rigght now, but I never forget, and hopefully one day can return that help or support that was given me.

I’m sorry to say this is true. But Serenity, you have friends here. And that is because of the word cancer, that was spoken into your life! Although it has more negatives, this is a positive place for you!

It is kind of sad to see some friends not be there for you. But I also think some just haven’t had a tough life experience to know what to do. i was one of those people until I was diagnosed.

I agree, but I have to say, I have found people that I would never have expected to come to the rescue that have done just that. I also would echo another sentiment that I have found so many new friends because of that nasty C word that I would have never met. You have plenty of friends here. We are family. God Bless you.
